Sheriff Johnny Brown: DWI Stops Aren't Checkpoints

Of course they're not:

Sheriff Johnny Brown, R-Midlothian, told me outside of the courthouse yesterday (I was covering the commissioner’s court, not actually “attending” court) the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office stopping of vehicles/motorists last week on I-35, I-45 and Highway 287 were for traffic violations.
They weren’t checkpoints, he told me.

How dare any of you even remotely think that our ECSO would ever stoop so low as to violate the Constitutional rights of people.
