Federal Influence Over the ECSO (Specifically the $95,000+ in Stimulus Money)

The total outlay to the Ellis County Sheriff's Office from the feds in the recent stimulus package, according to Recovery.gov: $95,668

Federal influence over local law enforcement

In nearby Palmer, a section of the Federal Emergency Management Agency reports outlining “population relocation and removal” came up missing. Brandy Owen, who penned a series of articles for this newspaper on the Trans-Texas Corridor last year, requested from the City of Palmer the FEMA documents after inquiring about feds preparing procedures for civil unrest, flu pandemics and contingencies should the population rise up en masse.

She waited three months to finally get a response from Palmer City Administrator Doug Young.
Owen got the FEMA reports. But the most important section she sought was missing.

Palmer officials won’t talk, but Owen provided enough information for me last week on a story that has now reached global audiences (the second time this has happened this year; several months ago, I broke the story about Ferris issuing a policy to shoot feral dogs; that story later was picked up by papers in China and every major paper in the world. Not the country. The world.)

Austin radio talk show host Alex Jones of Infowars.com and PrisonPlanet.com syndicated the story and one Google search later, people from all over this land are discussing it.

Some were talking about the story with their Bible study classes last Saturday. From Indiana. People are contacting city officials over it.

There’s a lot of stuff that one could say about Infowars.com, but one thing is for sure: those readers and listeners are the most informed people ever. While people concentrate on sports, entertainment and tea parties, our federal government is quietly making plans to unleash all sorts of police state debauchery on unsuspecting citizens.

Some of the stuff is just so outlandish and extreme on the surface, but it’s the truth. What have I continally said about politics in Ellis County? Why worry about Washington when this stuff is happening in our own back yard?

FEMA has plans to remove and relocate large quantities of populated areas. The federal Centers for Disease Control estimates hundreds of thousands will die this fall because of the swine flu. Sheriff Johnny Brown is teaming up with local law enforcement and pastors for a “safety seminar” on Sept. 29 at First Baptist Church in Waxahachie. FEMA and the Department of Homeland Security have been training pastors to quell dissent should the civil unrest spark riots or “anti-government” activities.

Federal terrorism reports cite supporters of Congressman Ron Paul and the Constitution as “suspects” to watch out for.

It might be a good time to do a survey of just how many reports and plans our local police departments have on file.

Palmer PD Chief John Zaidle, Owen said, “is quite aware of federalization and says he has tried to be ‘compliant’ and make proper arrangements for housing people in the high school gymnasium and other places. FEMA always tells him his plans are inadequate.”

For what purpose exactly? Pandemic? Natural disasters?

“In May 2006, we exposed the existence of a nationwide FEMA program which is training pastors and other religious representatives to become secret police enforcers who teach their congregations to ‘obey the government’ in preparation for the implementation of martial law, property and firearm seizures, mass vaccination programs and forced relocation,” said Paul Joseph Watson, a reporter for Jones’ Infowars.com.
See what I mean?

Daryl Spence Got Fired for Doing the Right Thing

Originally posted Aug. 7, 2009:

Former Ennis City Marshal candidate Daryl Ray Spence shares a lot in common with a New Hampshire police chief that will not be prosecuted for driving while intoxicated. Spence was fired from the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office for failing to charge two people with DWI despite the fact the vehicle the couple were in were actually not operating the vehicle.

To be charged with DWI, one must actually be driving the vehicle. It’s the law.

Instead, Spence wrote it up as a public intoxication. His sergeant railed against him for this. The superior officers at ECSO wanted this case filed as a DWI, but Spence refused. He went by the manual and by state law. The ECSO fired him, and even after an appeal to Sheriff Johnny Brown, R-Midlothian, he was still out of a job.

There was a police chief just last week that was arrested up here in New Hampshire, and the prosecutor in the county (the state has 10 counties) decided not to pursue the case because there was no DWI, or there was no evidence of a DWI. While people are going apeshit up here for it, the law is the law: you cannot have a DWI without the “D” part — the driving part. The police chief was arrested while in a parking lot, the keys being located in the console.

Spence wrote up an incident report, but his superiors later claimed they couldn’t find the summary of what Spence wrote. A Texas Open Records Act is your best friend, readers. Trust me.

So, all the misleading shit about Spence being written about will cease immediately. I will ban every mother F-er on this blog if I have to.

So, you wanna know why so much rage is directed towards Spence? It’s because he committed the sin of doing the right thing, showing where the ECSO superiors were violating their own manuals and state law, and a few other things I am not privy to say right now.

So now you guys know the true story.

Sheriff Johnny Brown: DWI Stops Aren't Checkpoints

Of course they're not:

Sheriff Johnny Brown, R-Midlothian, told me outside of the courthouse yesterday (I was covering the commissioner’s court, not actually “attending” court) the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office stopping of vehicles/motorists last week on I-35, I-45 and Highway 287 were for traffic violations.
They weren’t checkpoints, he told me.

How dare any of you even remotely think that our ECSO would ever stoop so low as to violate the Constitutional rights of people.
